Technology enhanced and remote teaching and learning

The 2nd Annual Symposium of the Institute for Education will be held on 15th September 2021.

The Symposium is an opportunity for Master and Doctoral graduates, Doctoral candidates and researchers to present their recent work on the theme of Technology enhanced and remote teaching and learning and create synergies between educators and policy makers.

Proposals are being sought for individual paper presentations. A paper proposal can be submitted by an individual or small group of authors. accepted papers will involve a 20-minute presentation with an additional 10 minutes allotted for questions and discussion.

Proposals should be submitted in response to the theme of technology enhanced and remote teaching and learning. This may include:

  • the presentation, analysis or evaluation of different technological tools introduced in the process of teaching, learning or school administration;
  • different methodologies adopted in remote learning;
  • their impact on students, teachers and administration;
  • how technology enhanced and remote teaching, learning and assessment are perceived by different stakeholders;
  • how they impact the teaching, learning and assessment process;
  • the engagement of different stakeholders in the teaching and learning process when teaching and learning remotely
  • the extent to which they can foster inclusion of students with different learning needs

The theme has been motivated by the need for remote teaching and learning due to COVID-19. However, it is by no means seeking contributions only to the evaluation of teaching conducted during school closures due to the pandemic.
